Last Friday (Dec 20th 2019) I played a concert together with Ruth Boden (cello) and GuoXiaoWen (piano).
It was a cold night but of course we trusted the music to keep us warm 😉
We played a varied program that was very well received by the audience. I had a head mic on that was on the whole time!! Aaaaaargh!! Can you imagine? It was a cool challenge and the main problem was that I couldn't blow out the water in my keyholes......
I somehow managed and the audience appreciated that I provided some background information for our pieces and I also threw in a little comedy at times, hehe!
Ruth and I met a year ago in Guangzhou and things magically lined up for this concert to happen, right in the middle of town. Ruth lives in Pullman, where she's a professor at the University of Washington. She and her husband are actually travelling back to the States as I'm writing this blog!
We will be creating more cool musical projects in the future that I'm already looking forward to 😊
Here are some pictures to get the atmosphere of the night:
Here's to more happy smiling faces after many more performances to come!!
